Want brighter lights for $cheap?

I put up an install page with pics of my headlight mod. I used higher wattage Hella bulbs in stock housings. ($10 each)

Major difference, but how long will they last? You get what you pay for . . .Very nice wax job.

I know people who have been running them for 2+ years without any issues at all......

Thanks!

Hella's are some of the best bulbs out there. They are made in Germany with very excellent quality. Their Optilux line though, its made in Japan, and I haven't had any luck with them - though some people have had excellent luck with them.

That looks very nice Cmr0z28 - would you mind if I linked to your page on my lighting guide website?

You have tried just tightening the adjustment screw and they are still pointing down?

If your adjustment screws (the ones on the top) are all the way in, then I would say something is bent.

Those look bright...look like my FXs!

If they are pointing down, tighten. You might want to make sure that they two notches are both in correctly (for the "door" thing that holds the housing).

I saw some Slyvania(SP?) bulbs today at Advance Auto. They were P/N's 9005/CB. The CB was for Cool Blue. They had a 9006/CB also. I was wondering if anyone has used these bulbs. Any comments on quality, lifetime? THNX
