Question Trying to remove window tint

Anyone know how to remove old/baked on window tint. I have some purple stuff and need to get it off. I would post in the appearance forum, but getting a response out of there take a while. SO please don't lock this, in case anyone can help.
Thanks
Steve

Easiest way is to take it to a tint shop and let them deal with it.

If I wanted to do that, and pay the extra $$ for them to do that, then I would not have posted a thread asking how to do it myself

Amonia and water with a very good scrapper or razor blade

A sharp razor, rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, a rag, some elbow grease and beer is all you need.

Peel the film off first - it may not come off in 1 big peice if it's purple. Use the razor to get underneath a corner of it and lift it big enough to get with your finger tips and then just pull back on it. Drink a beer. Then spray the glue residue left on the glass with the alcohol. Drink another beer. Scrape it clean with the razor. Drink another beer. Wipe any excess away with the rag. Repeat until window is clean & clear.
