Angry Tore My Front Wings West Piece Off!!

this may belong in lounge but it does contain info about my front ground effect so i guess i can legally have it in appearance......

but anyway i was headed to shreveport friday to summer streets III show and i was going about 85 down I 20 and i hit a big piece of deisel truck tire and it ripped my front ground effect piece off and it went under my car and i ran over the whole piece. .....luckily i went back and found it in the dark on the side of the road in one piece. i got to shreveport at around 4am and found some almost matching spray paint and 3m tape at wal mart and put about 5 coats on it and stuck it on and by the time i got through it was daylight and almost time to go put my car in the show......

i propped my t tops on the front of the car so the judges couldn't see much of my sh!tty looking front end

but now i gotta pull it off and repaint professionally...... i havent had ground effects for long and i can tell they're gonna be hell because i already have skint a little paint off the bottom of some of the pieces...........

is there really any way to prevent dragging these things!!!!????

You could always get adjustable coil overs and when you are taking a road trip raise the car up so it won't catch anything

Just a thought

Here's a good place to buy them.
They are just as hard to put on as your lowering springs I would guess

EDIT: the link might help http://www.globalwest.net/

Yeah the coilovers are similar to putting on springs and shocks. In fact, make sure to get new shocks with the coilovers if you have alot of miles on your Z.
