I was just wondering how many people have tint on red cars? I have a red 99 z28 camaro and I never see anyone with tint. I was thinking about doing 20% but didn't know if that was to dark. I need some opinions. Also, I was wondering how much police will harass you with tint such as tickets? I didn't know if it was worth spending $160 and then having the cops give me a ticket.

I have tint on my car. I think 20% percent is the best one. its dark but not too dark. Police will cite you depending on your states laws, they vary from state to state. Here in Texas you can have i believe its 30% in the front to be legal and whatever in the back or rear windows. some states don't allow tint. So get informed on local and state laws first. I have double black 5% on my car.. its really dark but I did that to hide my stereo steup. I may go with 20% soon though.

 

I just got 20% on sides and rear on my black camaro. Enhances the look of it by 1000000%. The 20% is dark, as dark as you'd really want it for normal applications, you can't see in the car really unless theres some external light at the right spot. Definitely hides a sub perfectly in the back, you just can't see in. Especially if you had a milhouse.

I believe my older car had 35% tint on it. This is more see through and does not enhance the black-on-black look of the 20% tints..they basically look exactly the same as the body panels..know what I mean?

I haven't heard crap from cops over the tints. I would not suggest going lower than 20% as I can barely see anything when I am reversing at night time. Worth the style but absolutely no real reason to get them lower than that.

There's not much seeing in my car, and it looks awesome. Fortunately, I have a prescription for it and don't have to worry about tickets.

35% on the sides, 5% in the rear. Whenever you see a cop, put the windows down, works for me.

 

I've got 20% on my sides and 5% on the rear! Looks sweet as hell! At night you cannot see in but you can see out just fine. When I first got it done about 6 months ago i would drop the windows whenever i seen a cop. Now I just keep then up and i have no problems here. DO IT! Trust me, its money well spent.
