The car started off as quasar blue camaro. When my friend bought it, he completely stripped and painted it black....I bought the car and want to make it 100% perfect. Front/rear bumpers + one quater panel need to be repainted so i figured i might as well get the whole car done. Here is the problem, i like black but i miss my red How bad of a idea would it be to spray RED on top of already 2 different colors? How much more am i looking at to get the old paint stripped?

 

If you go red, go patriot red metallic or cayenne red metallic. I personally would just go back to the original quasar blue metallic. I may be a bit biased, but it truly is an amazing color. A rare one at that, your car will be worth quite a bit more if you keep it it's original color. Idk, I just prefer our cars to stay their original colors because they get more and more rare every year. Sorry for the rant, but those are the reds I'd use.

 

^^ I agree. Lt1 Quasar blue cars look great. I'd put her back the way she came.

 

Red's boring and common. You could buy another red 4th gen for less money than a good paint job.

 

or you can do a black and red combow.

 

Red does look good but I COMPLETELY agree. I would not go with Red, I say go back with the original color. That color blue does looks real nice.


My personal favorite blue.... "Nassau Blue Metallic". Oh does that color look good

 

Whoa cat whoa, you parted the Z28 but are now back in another LT1 Z28? It sucked to see the red car go after such a clean build and coming such a long way. I used to have vids of the CC306, M6 and GMMG.

 

if you want to do red why not really put it out there and do some kind of SOM or COMP Orange???

 

Hugger Orange would be BA on an LT1 imo.
