Re: for those who are intrested

looks good man! I would just take those "CAMARO" emblems off the sides. It looks much cleaner without them. Just my opinion but either eway that looks real good man!

I like the CAMARO letters on the side, but wish you had the '93-'94 V6 version instead of the 5th gen version. I'm not sure how easy to find those '93-'94 only OEM letters would be though!

I think the 5th gen letters were a nice touch, I like them on the LS1 style cars. Only thing I might have done differently is position them a little lower like the 4th gen style base camaro fender lettering was. In any event, it looks great! Nice job, lima

Probably not as difficult as you might think, it never hurts to poke around your local junkyard. If you can't find them there I'm sure the paddock still has them.

Re: for those who are intrested

I think they sort of look out of place, although I like the idea, but If I were to do that i would paint the emblems to match the paint so they wouldn't stand out so much. IMO, nothing ever looked better in that spot than the stock Z-28 Badges, I have RS badges on mine that I got cheap on ebay in that same style but the Z28 would look better because it's 3 letters instead of 2. But those badges are probably about $100 a set now from a dealer, but I guess you could get vinal decals for super cheap.

I think these would look good too

Re: for those who are intrested

actualy i bought them from a chevy dealer for 20,00 for the pair. could not put them much lower because they come pre spaced and would barley fit when you open the door would hit the last letter.glad some like them.I thought these letters would fill in the blank spot on the fender like my 68 script letters did

ahhhh I understand why they are higher. That makes sense. They do look nice just a little different on a 4th Gen, but every car is unique to their owner and if you it that is all that counts lol

Either way car looks good!

wow, that is extremely cheap, for that price you cannot go wrong, Do you know how much one of the 4th gen Nose emblems is now?? Last I checked when I painted my car 3 years ago they were like $45 from a dealer!!! I reused mine orginal one. Unbelievable how the value of that stuff goes up when it's out of production vs how cheap it is when it's new, you know you woud think it would be the opposite, that the stuff would get cheap when it goes out of style.

Re: for those who are intrested

For 4th gens, RS was only available '96-'97 as a V6 model with ground effects.

SLP brought the RS back in 2001, but no more ground effects. Instead, they had stripes, a special grill, Z28 exhaust, etc. Those were '01-'02.

The ground effects people associate with the '96-'97 RS were renamed Sport Appearance Package (option code Y3F) in '98 and you could get them on a Z28. That remained true throughout '98-'02, you could get them on a V6 or Z28, but not SS.

The confusion with the RS designation comes from insurance companies. Many insurance companies have it in their system that all V6 Camaros are RS Camaros for certain years which simply isn't true.
