i just removed my side moldings and on my driver door the molding left marks in my paint! in some areas there is a blackish color in the paint and all around the out line there is a bump up in the paint! for some reason it is only on my driver door. so you think it could be wet sanded out by a pro?

Mine left the out lines, the Trans Am logs left a ton of adhesive.

2Fast94TA: The side of the car with the flaw in the paint has most likely been repainted without removing the trim. Where the small piece of trim on the front fender of my car has the same problem.

A gouge is not a dent. I would love to see a true dent in a plastic door.

That sucks about the paint under your trim. Guess on a used car, you never know if they wrecked it and did a 1/2 *** repaint.

yea i am really starting to find out how half assed it was. really pisses me off that someone could do a crappy job like this but just a 10 year old car needs new paint sometime.

I still think it came form the factory like that. Mine has a bit of what I would call "run" on each side. It's like the put the trim on and then clear coated the body, so that excess clear welled up at the edging of the molding.

And while I like my Purple Pearl coloring, I have trouble believing anyone would repaint a car this color, when for similar money you could get some better custom color (Purple Pearl paint is more expensive to buy than "simpler" colors).
