T/A without door body moldings?

mine have lost all their paint and now they are much duller than the car, either i can have them painted or just taken off. i was wondering if it would look screwy without them?

My molding turned yellow, made my white car look dirty all the time so i took them off. I think the car looks way better without them but getting all of the adhesive off of the doors is a pain.

I've had the same problem with my moldings on my doors, but I've decided to just get them painted instead of removing them. Those things are there for a reason. If you take them off, it's going to be door ding city.

Heh. Have you ever looked at how your door lines up with any other nearby cars door? Maybe your car is special, but my cars doors' will get hit about a foot above the molding. Unless I'm parked next to other sports cars. I suppose if everyone drove a sports car, then the molding would be functional. Then again; if everyone drove a sports car, we wouldn't need side moldings, because no one would ever get door dings!

You can actualy order the moldings in the color you need. When I got in an accident, I replaced the rear and door pieces, and they came in a perfect match.

Get rid of them. The doors are composite anyways, they dont dent. People aim for the metal 1/4 panel when they ding our cars.

Looks better without them anyway.

Composite doors really dont dent. Its physcially impossible. They may get weak spots but not dent, or what you call a dent may just be a flaw in the material. Its a bitch to work on yes but it keeps weight and looks better then metal, I.E. look at almost every third gen.
