swap t-top locks

swap t-top locks

lets say i have similar t-tops, I want to replace the keylock from one to the other, how difficult is it? I suppose a locksmith would be my best choice?? should charge much right?

Not sure what they charge, but thats where i would go. Unless you dont have the key at all, i wouldnt want to take the t-top seal apart to get at the lock cyl becuase it may not seal like it used to. then again many people have done it with out problems

Just take the lock cylinders out and swap them. Take the plastic cover off the T-top, and you will see that the locks are held in by a flimsy spring clip. Mine fell out and hit me on the head.... .

Or are you talking about not having a cylinder that matches your oval key, and having to have the cylinder changed to match your key?
