Sunvisors from stockinteriors?

Has anyone ever bought replacement sunvisors from stockinteriors? If so, can you take some pics of them for me so I can see if they are an exact match for OEM?

When I looked for stock OEM ones, they were $147, and I believe stockinteriors has them for $119. I'm concerned about buying the stock ones, because they seem to have cardboard inside them, which didn't last very long. I forgot if SI's site said the material inside...

Ricardo, is the headliner just plastic? Or does it have the headliner material on it as well? I need to get a headliner too.

They have the two options . You can buy the uncovered plastic shell or you can buy it covered.
You can have the uncovered version painted to match your interior color.
The price difference is not much($19.00). I chose the covered version.
You just have to cut open the seat belt, sun visor and dome light holes and install it.
Turned out great in the end.

Is the headliner an exact match as far as color?

What was the material on the back side of the factory one you removed? Was it plastic, or cardboard?

I bought some charcoal grey ones for my wife's car, they are ball park at best. Unfortunately one of them would not "click" with the stock visor rods and I ended up throwing it away. Very expensive for a product that only half way worked. I contacted them for help and they ignored my email. So buyer beware.

That's disappointing. I was hoping to get both perhaps at the same time.

Ricardo, how the heck did they ship you the headliner? Is it in a giant flat box UPS like artwork?

That part I did not like very much. The plastic headliner is flexible and they kind a roll it lengthwise and fit it into a carboard box measuring 15 x 24 x 48.
There is a label on the box stating that you should unpack it 24 hours after receiving it and let it lay flat and it should return to its normal shape.
in my case the headliner remained in the box for about 4 weeks before I unpacked it but it finally recovered its shape.

The factory headliner board is some kind of molded fiber insulation board. not very dense, it will break easily. I had already gone thru the process of covering mine but used rattle can spray adhesive and it only lasted a few weeks.

Regarding the color match, there are so many color options availiable that maybe I did not choose the exact one. There is a slight difference in shade between the sunvisors (original GM) and the headliner (SI). I chose the "very dark gray" color after comparing the colors in their site but the sunvisors seem now just a little darker than the headliner.

I can shoot a few pics of the headliner if you care to see it.

There you go.
The color is a bit off. The pictures were illuminated by the flash only.

That looks really good. I'll have to get in the Z28 and take a look at the OEM one and see how well that matches. I like the idea of a plastic one a lot better than a fiberboard one, especially if it's more likely to last 15 more years without starting to sag.
