The more I see this, the more I really like it. It doesnt even need to be called a Sunoco hood, it could just be something completely different.

This is how we can get parts made... design them our damnselves, then force someone to make it George W. Bush style.

I scouted around the net to try and find a pic of a Camaro that could be used to photochop the new hood onto and sent it in a PM to GetaZforgetGT. Hopefully he'll be gracious enough to do one last photochop session so we can get a more realistic perspective of how the hood will look on the car.

Great picture fury...couldn't ask for a better position.

I'll give you all three final hoods starting with yours since you did the leg work for the background.

My version with the vents the whole way to the back:

Awwwwwwwwwwsome! Now this is the perfect solution for a cowl hood for 93-97's that doesn't look "boxy." Nice and streamlined. Clean lines.

I think I'm liking #2 the best. Not too plain-jane but not too "batmobilish."

GetaZ: do you have a Paypal address? I'm gonna Paypal you a case of beer for your efforts here. Good work man.

I appreciate the paypal offer but it is certainly not necessary. I did it for fun and to see if I could do it. It's all good.

I think I like number 1 the best.
My only concern is what type of fitment is required along the windshield cowl to make it look right and cover the not so pretty parts up there.

I'll have to see what number 2 looks like with the center ridge extending down to the bumper cover....that may look cool also.

Re: Sunoco Hood for 93-97 Z?

#2 all the way, but i do agree with you GetaZforgetGT, it definitely depends on how the lines fit at the top of the hood with all that ugly wiper stuff up there.

I also agree with fury... it is very streamlined and not as "boxy" as a regular cowl. This would be nice if put into production

But kudos... very cool looking hood... I want, I want!

Nah...I don't think anyone e-mailed it to the company.
It is my understanding that others have called VFN to see if they will produce one for the 93-96...in short the answer was yes but the time frame was never carved in stone.
They had mentioned sometime late this year in a few threads.
By all mean, shot them an e-mail and see what they say.
