STB color

What color Hotchkis STB should I get with my Bright Red z/28?

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/F...7485/Z28a.html

I am considering Black and Red.

I will also have black SLP subframes.

Re: STB color

I also have the option of a silver metallic one, the color hotchkis stopped making, although its not the polished versoin it still looks pretty nice, may complement the coated LT's and intake manifold? Other comments quick since I am going to get one very soon?

Re: STB color

Black... with some red decals

The one problem you might have with the red one is it may not match your red paint... well, it most likely will not match your red paint. At worst, it will clash. A black one will go with your CAI and then you can accent it with some red text/decals.

Re: STB color

Thanks a ton Brent, I can always rely on your for some well thought out input. The red in the link I provided doesnt look to far off, but I will await a few more responses before my decision.

Silver Metallic looks like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting

Another Red one.. http://www.97ta.com/trans_am_photos/transam39.jpg

I just thought the silver would be unique. I will most likely run red LCA's with my red PHB, but am still debating the color of SFC, black or red...

Re: STB color

I sandblasted the red powdercoating off mine and am now in the process of polishing it......polishing STEEL sucks the big one.

Re: STB color

After reading this, I like the black STB idea now also.

Re: STB color

Thanks for the replies guys, I like black too, but red seems like it fits in as part of the chassis. I'll more than likely get the black one. Suspension parts red, chassis black.

Re: STB color

For the most part all my suspension parts and a few small items I've painted Chevy Orange. I like the color, but it's hard to find so I've had to paint over the powdercoating. But I got back into polishing things, so now my STB will soon match the hood latch bracket, throttle body and check valves on the exhaust manifolds.
