SS Hood options

Okay, so I f-ed up the front right corner of my car and have bumper/hood damage and the collision center says the hood is toast. So being the enthusiast I am, I'm wondering if I can find an SS hood for less that the $573 it costs for a replacement steel Z28 hood on my 98 since they'll have to paint it anyway.

Even with the 10% off at TBRYNE its still $700, but I found this on Ebay.

The company is called Fiberglass Fabricators and I was wondering if anyone had bought a hood from them as I've heard aftermarket fiberglass hoods vary a lot in how they fit. If anyone has another idea that'd be cool too, otherwise it looks like just back to a steel hood.

I have heard decent things about them, the only thing that I don't like about that auction is that seems like a hell of a lot of money to pay for a non functional hood. I would look into suncoast creations because I know that they make functional hoods....

Just my opinion

I have a FFI SS hood and I like it. The best value as far as I'm concerned. They usually give you a discount if u mention that you are a CamaroZ28.com member.

I just bought a hood from there, a 93-97 SS one. Before I did, I emailed three people who already bought the hood. Not one had a complaint. Nothing but good things about it. I paid $493 Shipped. And yes it has the Mesh grill and YES you CAN make it functional. Best deal....GET IT!!!

A big NO to the one you found on ebay! THe EFI is not the same as the GM ss hood! The scoop on the EFI is more square, I looked at it too and thought if I was going to do it I was going to do it right! I got a Glasstek SS hood and I love it!

and here are some pics:

Hope this helped!

Check out my sig pic, the hood fit next to perfect, the drivers side up front was a little high but not bad at all, best deal around too.

I believe the FFI SS Hood for 98-02 camaros was made to copy the LT1 GM SS hood.
