About 1 month and some odd days ago I picked up a 1996 camaro RS for $8000. It has 59K miles on it and the car was absolutley perfect, no dents or dings.... ran on full synthetic oil, maintained very well. My dad knew the guy so this was all true. here are some pics of my new car, they were taken before i washed and waxed it... so its a little dirty (mostly waterspots)

Car looks good, just throw out the v6 drivetrain and get your self a lt1, t56, and a 12 bolt or 9" and have some fun.

 

I do like the 2 tone, but I really don't like the red between the colors.
I would never have paid 8k for that though, you can certainly get an lt1 car for that money, and an ls1 car can be had for about 9-10k with a few miles on it.

You didnt happen to purchase this off a younger guy, that lives right off I-94, that had just bought a new orange SS did ya?

I bought the car off of one of my dads friends, not a younger guy.... The person i bought this off of ended up going and getting a vet. In the future i am planning on doing an engine swap... but that looks less likley now that i am starting college. Thankx for all the positive input, and this car is a blast to drive compared to the 4 cyl contour i had before.

The hood and ground effects look clean though. I have always liked the F1 front clip. I think it would look great with some 18" Black Z06 (w/ polished lip)

 

Awsome car... I just got my 1997 Camaro RS, Black with T-Tops... love the car... take care of it man... I'm going to put some minor mods in, then an engine swap... I like the paint job too.. where can I get that front clip? mines missing or was perhaps so damaged they took it off... Trying to figure out what kind of paint job and detailing I'm ganna do to my car...

Nice ride! not too big of a fan of the 2tone, but overall clean and looks like he put some time and $$ into it with the aftermarket hood and GFX!
