Smoked Turn Signals & Side Markers???
do they make smoked turn signals and rear side markers instead of the clear ones...i think the smoked would look better on the silver than clear but i couldn't find any...just wondering...thanks a lot!!!
Re: Smoked Turn Signals & Side Markers???
i just bought a can of VHT nightshades, and sprayed on the tint, used it on my tails too, turned out really nice, really dark, and you can still see the light when you brake, turn signal etc. like $10 a can, did 2 sets of tails 2 coats and my side markers and turn signals and had some left over give that a shot
Re: Smoked Turn Signals & Side Markers???
Agreed. For what the smoked signals and markers cost, just give the nightshades a shot. Word of advice, do nice even strokes, and hold the can decently far away. It might look like it's going on too light, but if you hold it close it could run and end up running and crap. I let mine sit overnight in my garage and they look great. Even look pretty shiny. Good luck.

Re: Smoked Turn Signals & Side Markers???
VHT is used alot in the truck world...many people with trucks have used VHT nightshades on their taillights and stuff...once it sets, only way to get it off is to sand it off. Thats the only way i could get it off when i tried to tint my taillights on my truck before i sold it.

Re: Smoked Turn Signals & Side Markers???
I want to try this vht stuff, anyone got any pics of their work with it?
Also, tell me how many coats you did, how many clear coats you did if any, and if they are still as bright.

Re: Smoked Turn Signals & Side Markers???
You put on as many coats as dark as you want the lights to be, no real number of "coats" can be defined since everyone has their own taste. I spray it on 45* angles going left to right going up, then 45* angles going right to left down...gives a nice surface, just how ive always painted though.
As for clearcoat, i like them to look a little shiny so i put 3 coats on my truck before i sold it.
The lights won't show as bright, but they will still be visible as long as you don't get carried away with spraying them to heavily.
