Re: SLP CME Install Complete...

I have a side pic of mine. The way the valence forms in on the sides nullifies the need for any side skirts. From a side view you can hardly tell it is there. SLP did a great design job.

Re: SLP CME Install Complete...

Your tips are very interesting. Did SLP replace their cast aluminum tips with stainless steel ones? I prefer the cast aluminum ones, but I bet these you have won't ever break in the center.

Re: SLP CME Install Complete...

the ones i purchased also have two brace like pieces of metal in the middle...these wont ever break either...I believe SLP just stopped making anything related to the CME for camaros....its really hard to get a hold of any of this stuff. The tips I have are custom from a company called Stainless Works out of one of the carolinas...they do GREAT work.

Re: SLP CME Install Complete...

Yes the orginal cast aluminum tips looks better, wider lips and curved to line up with the valance. no longer exist with SLP

IMO the valace can be feb in a good fiberglass-shop but the orginal tips are difficult to find ..
this site has stainless tips

Re: SLP CME Install Complete...

Question from earlier....well what i want to know, is if it matches the lines of the car, or looks weird with the center valence hanging off the back?....

From the factory the rear bumper is higher than the rocker panels, the CME valance completes or flows with the factory lines of the side rocker panels and makes the car look better proportioned without side skirts.

Heres a side shot of my car...

Nice, but unless I'm missing something, those aren't export tail lights...they're just stock 93-96 tail lights. As far as I know, these are the only export taillights for 4th gen Camaros.
