side moldings on or off

im repainting my car and just thought i would ask what you guys thought of taking the side moldings off.the car is a 94 garnet red z. i had a gta i painted and left them off and it looked killer, but the 94 has a body line right in the middle of the door so the effect wont be the same. also my ss hood should i go black in the middle of the scoop, and what about a gloss black back panel

I'd say try it without them and see how it looks. Have the body shop take them off the car and spray them when they paint the car. That way if your not happy with the look they can simply be placed back on.

I took the side molding off my T/A a while ago. It looks sooo much cleaner without them. I would take them off and don't look back.

I noticed you live in Oswego, about 20 miles from me. What body shop are you using, how are their rates? I have gotten a few quotes to have my bumper and an SS style hood painted and installed and everyone is quoting me over a grand. I didn't think it would cost that much.

my body shop is my garage(epa plase dont bother me) i used to work in a body shop now i just do it as a hobby. the ss hood i bought took about 3 hours to get everything lined up it was definatly not a simple bolt on,grind cut drill..ect. as far as your quote bring it over, ill look at it. my paint, the red is $94. a qt so the stuff is not cheap.as far as the moldings go does anyone have pice of one without

shaved antenna is a very small detail that looks good, like mine a lot better without it. the other bonus is, no checking for tightness every so often!
