I'd kind of like to know this myself.

What kind of 12mm **** are you trying to put on? Do you think this might get better response in the Driveline forum?

It's the Cobra 10th anniversary ****, carbon fiber (fabric feeling, no plastic covering the fabric, or fake-fiber look, and has an aluminum 6-speed pattern on the top)

A friend of mine has one in his mustang, just feels right in my hand, so I'm trying to find an adapter, or if it's reasonable to rethread my stick

i don't know about this "adapter" thing.. you can always do some simple modifyin just clamp the thing down, drill a hole into where the 12 mm nut is, and (you have two options)

-go buy a 16 mm nut and set it in the hole with some glue
-go buy some threading compound, fill the hole up

then just twist your newly modified stick shift on...

shouldn't be that hard. unless you don't have a drill and boring bit.

Damn that looks nice! Where can you get those at? I just might have to get one if someone knows how to get it to fit our shifters.

Do you have a stock or aftermarket shifter?

If you have an aftermarket, I'd have a machine shop turn the shifter down and re-thread the shaft.

If you have a stocker, I'd say you're outta luck.. although it's a great excuse to buy a Pro 5.0...

Yeah, a machine shop should be able to handle turning the stick down to 12mm.

hmmm, I might have to look into this. I have a craftsman lawnmower with a handle that would make for an awesome pistol grip ****. The thread is too small though.

...and yes, I would suffer using the lawnmower without a shift ****

i would have to see a picture of the bottom of that shifter, but would it be possible to drill the bottom out and tap it to size? Thats what i had to do to my t-handle.

Here is what I'm considering:

1. Drilling out the ****, and either glueing a 16mm nut, or going with the threading compound, but where could I find threading compound? Home Depot?

2. Taking the stick to a machine shop and having them turn it down to 12mm, do you think it would cost much??
