remove 89 camaro door panel?
Quick question: How do I remove a door panel for a 89 camaro? I found one bolt in the upper portion of the armrest/ door handel.. I am not sure where the rest are hidding. Before I got seperating panel from door with a claw hammer I figured I'd ask. I am new to the whole car restoration thing and seems they do a good job at hiding all the bolts and screws. My ultimate goal is to remove the groundfx on the door. I was able to remove the rest of the ground effects by dismantling the panels in the back seat area.. all that to get to a single cheesy nut.. and had to buy a dang deep socket to get it off.. hehe... all in all.. this has been fun so far!
Thanks for the pointers!

Re: remove 89 camaro door panel?
First the arm rest comes off. Then that big black plastic panel comes off. A couple of the screws that are visible on that panel are real and need to be removed. The rest are plastic. The blank panel next to where the arm rest mounted comes off to reveal another hidden bolt.
These pics should give you a good idea of where the real bolts are hiding:

At some point along the way you'll have to pop the door lock pieces out. After that, and after the whole plastic piece is free, you've got to snake it around the door handle. After that, go around the perimiter of the door panel and pop off all the push-tabs.
If you have manual windows, put the window down then use a window crank removal tool to take the crank off. If you've got power windows, plug the window button back in and put the window down.
Once the window is down, squeeze the top of the door so that the plastic at the top of the door panel goes toward the window track, and pull up at the same time. This is tricky until you accomplish it once or twice, but just use a squeezing & lifting motion and it'll come up.
