New Mods

Just a couple small things. I put on some T/A door panels, recovered the top dash in black vinyl, and put on some clear/black corner lenses.

Re: New Mods

How hard is it to recover the dash?

Looks good by the way. T/A door panels look a lot better than the Camaro ones.

Re: New Mods

not hard at all. Just got to take your time and be careful with your cuts. I am thinking about cutting the defrost grille out and putting something else there to make it look cleaner, that is the hardest part of all...around the vents.

Re: New Mods

not hard at all to swap the dash so long as you have a COMPLETE swap set up ready to roll, we did this to my brothers 97Z, hardest part was i think changing the hvac for the vents, but two weeks later he put guages in them, it's just time consuming though, but well worth it!!!

Re: New Mods

Hey Koby,
Let me know if you work anything out with the dash vent. I want to do what you have done - but I agree the vents are just plain tuff. I was thinking some king of moulding to create a clean edge around the vent. Can't think of what would look acceptable though.

Re: New Mods

The door panels were simple. Kinda time consuming because you have to make sure you drill the new holes in the right spot. All there is to do is cut off the two , or three if you want, mounting tabs for the stock panels, put the new ones on, mark where to drill, take it back off and drill the holes. Probably about an hours worth of work for everything.

As far as the dash, I am still not sure what to do. Somebody mentioned cutting out the vent and putting some screen in there, but I don't want the car to look like the imports do with all the screen on there cars.....Just not sure of the best solution yet, but I am open to ideas.

Thanks for all the complements!
