I have the exact hood posted above. I love the hood. I get compliments on my car all the time because of it. I got it from VFN directly and I paid 633$ about 3 years ago. Craftsmanship is amazing. And fitment is better then most fiberglass hoods I've seen, however it's not perfect.

Another vote for VFN. I've bought 2 cowl hoods from them, and both have been excellent quality and fit.

thanks guys my only thing about the raised ss is in person does the hood look to short for as high as it is or does it look as good as the regular ss hood just raised? if that makes any sense

elite, I know what you mean, the hoods posted in this thread look different than the regular SS hood, besides being bigger they don't conserve the proportions of the LT1 SS hood... if you search on Brent Franker's appearance page, you'll find there is a company called U.S. Body that makes a big SS hood that looks more like the original hood (taller but also wider) I tried emailing them a couple of weeks ago to see if they still make it but have not got a response yet... so I gave up. But you can try contacting them to see if they still make it.

Here is what it looks like:

So I guess if you want a hood like this badly then the VFN may be your only choice. But I hear VFN makes great quality stuff too and IMO the hood also looks pretty good.
