Racing Seats??

Has anybody ever bought racing seats off ebay?? I found these and they seem nice, but the price is so cheap it seems like something is wrong.

Anybody know anything about these seats?
Thanks!

looks like just some cheap generic seats. There would be 3 things I'd wonder about:

1. Will the upholstery hold up in regards to wear and tear?

2. Are they lighter than the stock seats?

3. Are they comfortable? No reason to buy uncomfortable seats.

Duse i had some of them befor i found my sparcos. From the same guy too. They are cheap peices of ****. The drivers side broke where the lever is to recline the seat. The passenger one had a bar break where the "rib" supports are. It broke due to a ****ty weld and wound up ripping a hole in the back of the seat. I left them in untill i got the sparcos and the "leather" ended up disentigrating into little "*****" the dye from the leather also stained some very expeensive jeans i had. I got the sparcos off of ebay and they had some tears and cig burns in them. Got them for 100 bucks as is. Took them to a upolhstry<sp> shop and got them recovered in cloth to match the door panels and carpet for less than 150 bucks. so i have a complete set of sparcos without the ricer sparco badge for less than 300 bucks. Im taking them to a member on here who owns a upolhstry<sp> shop and getting them covered in leather again as i have replaced the carpet with black carpet and ta door panels. Also going to get them embroided.

The seats help protect you in a crash. I wouldn't consider buying an aftermarket seat from anyone other than a name manufacturer like Sparco, Corbeau, Momo, Recaro, etc.

Can you imagine the welds in a cheap seat snapping as your head hits the headrest, or a broken tube piercing your kidney in a crash....... something to think about.
