Question for people with head light blackotus!?!?

I've got blackouts on every single light possible on my 96 Camaro, and my headlight blackouts are blocking out too much light. Not nearly enough gets through for nioght time driving. Anyone know what kinda light I should get so it will be brighter!? Thanks!

That's the reason they are illegal in all states, just because nobody gets a ticket doesn't make them legal.

Just get better/brighter fog lights, or fog light bulbs.

Just take them off at night or on roads where there are no street lights. Other then that you just have to get used to them or take them off.

So what ya'll are tyrying to tell me is that there are no brighter bulbs out there for us? I have fog light covers too....sooo it's all pretty dark. Anyone know what the bulb numbers are for the fogs or headlights?

As far as I know their are no brighter headlights for a 96. I converted my 95 over a year ago to take just the replacement bulbs because I was having the same prob with not being able to see with the smoke covers. From my notes, the bulbs I used: APC super white, simulated HID, xenon gas bulbs. 4000k color temp. 9006, 80watts actual, 100 watts equivalant. 9005, 100 watts actual, 130 watts equivalant. I think I ordered them from Jegs or Summit. They are so popular with ricers now (no offense to any ricers reading this) you should be able to get them or something equivalant locally. With the covers off it made a huge difference in being able to see at night. With them on it made little difference. I eventually got rid of the covers. Got tired of taking them on and off. I heard that the carbon fiber pattern covers let out a little more light but I don't know personally if this is true.

Here's the thing. I bolted mine onto the body so now I have to take out the screws and put them back in every time? This blows.

You got any pics? Just curious as to how you bolted them to the body.
