I am thinking about putting the 70-74 Z28 emblems on my Z. I'm sure there are some pictures floating out there on their car or someone else's. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

My friend has some on his electron blue '94 Z. They look pretty good IMO. I'll see if he can post some pictures or email them to you.

I have 70-74s on my black Z. I love 'em.
IMO they go much better with our body lines than the earlier ones.
I have some pics on my site. You can get there from my sig. I might even have a write-up on them on one of the pages there... can't remember.
If you get a set, go through a company that specializes in restoration of older Camaros. The companies that sell 4th gen parts that have them get quite a markup in price. They probably source them from the restoration houses and then tack on some for themselves.
Also, you can get the fender emblems for a price, but the 70-74s also had a metallic decal on the rear panel between the tail lights that looks exactly like the emblem, it is only like $4. Not that I recommend putting these on your fenders, but it would be possible and cheap.

dude, those emblems look cool as hell. Maybe I'll do that to my Z, but I did just put the factory emblems on after taking off the prev. owners ghetto chrome ones. What was the price on them? Can I just get 3 of them for all 3 locations?

 

Mine were around $25 each. This was a few years ago though.
Mine are NOS, reproductions are available a little cheaper.
You can put these where you want I suppose. I just put them on the fenders. I am not a fan of emblems in the rear.

Haha. What I meant was could I use 3 of the FENDER emblems, and put one of them on the back in the stock (for my 93) emblems. Or, do I need a different sized one for the back?

The fender emblem should work just fine on the back.
You just have to decide which method you will use to mount it. There are 2 ways:
1) Drill 2 small holes for the stock studs and mount them. (I did this)
2) Cut the studs off the emblems and use 2 sided tape. (This is most popular method)

If you put an emblem on the back with the studs, you will have to move the carpet in the trunk well and remove a couple bolts (10mm I believe) to remove the tail panel. It's not hard, but has to be done so you can access the studs.
Alot of folks use the 2 sided tape because they don't want to drill holes. I have a couple of comments:
1) They would be easy to "borrow" with tape, and that could get expensive.
2) If you ever want to go back stock, the stock emblems would cover the holes.

Btw: I have seen cars with the fender emblems on the fenders, and the rear emblem on the rear. It looks good and the rear emblem is only about $4.
