Question Question about tint

Has anyone ever tinted their own windows? I want to get the windows on my Honda tinted, but I don't really have much money. I know the auto parts store sells it, but I'm not sure how hard it is to install. If it's fairly easy I'll proably go ahead and do it, the only thing that would be difficult is the back window.

Any idea's or suggestions? Is there a place online I can order it or something to maybe get it cheaper?

A pain in the @$$ that doesn't payoff in the end
I had a stupid idea once to do my Jeep and after a whole bunch of time and frastration it ended up costing me around $60-$70 for tint film and a **** poor job which I realized in a couple of days.
I didn't have any big bubls but a whole lot of small onece which came in bunches.
My advice is to find considerably cheap place and let the profecionals do it.

Ok, I know what you mean now I tried doing the two front windows, and I just can't seem to get all the bubbles out. There are just a few small ones scattered around that just won't move. I think this is a job better left to the professionals If it ends up bothering me I'll probably take it down and just take it to a shop. The good place that a few people recommended to me is $140 for my Accord, is that a decent price? I kinda thought it'd be closer to $100. But I know they do a really good job, so it might be worth it.

That's why I'm scared to do my own!

Actually it's coming out pretty good now, I went ahead and did the rear windows. I was a little more patient and got almost all the bubbles out. I'm going to go back out there in a few minutes and try to get the rest out. I would recommend having a professional do it, but for $25 this isn't bad until I can afford to have a rpo do it

When I had mine done, there were tons of bubbles, but within a day there were only a couple left. Even a hair dryer would help in the curved areas.

Don't do your own tint!!! it is a huge pain in the ***, usually it is less than $200 to get a car tinted.

Too late!!!

I agree though, mine turned out ok, and it's a decent temporary fix(hated having clear windows) for $20, but I will get it done professionally eventually.
