Is it just me or does the hugger orange that was used on the 96 SS, the one that was painted orange w/ white stripes, a different shade of orange than the hugger orange used on the newer f-bodies. It seems like the newer ones have more red added to the pigment. Im getting ready to start stripping the paint on my Z to paint it hugger orange and was looking through some pics and the colors seem different to me. Maybe im just going color blind.

 

its not just you, i have noticed the same thing. the new hugger orange definatly has a lot more red in it and definatly looks almost like it was mixed out of a batch of that sunset orange metalic color. Just my thoughts

 

I just realized that were talking about the 97' and not the 96' here.

 

I wasnt sure if it was the 96 or 97 that was painted that way and termed the "Great Pumpkin"
