Does anyone that has done this know when i upgrade to 100W bulbs,if i can use the wiring that comes with the Hella's or do i need thicker wires then that???? I am using the relays with 30Amp fuse. Also, what bulbs would be the most recommended ones, and where could i get them???? thanks

If you are doing it purely as a upgrade for safer lighting, then I suggest 100w Clear bulbs.

If you want the HID look, I suggest Krypton, Nokya, Showoff or FX.

I am running FX 5000k 100w bulbs right now. Not the 100w LOOK bulbs... but true 100W.

Plan on getting a headlight harness upgrade, they are well worth it.

I would say that if you are even going to fool with the wiring to any extent, just do a completely new harness - which basically means, you are going to have to make your own - just use 12 gauge wire or sumpin. The SUV lights harness that pure linked to would be excellent, but just from looking, I doubt it will fit our cars, would be ling enough I am guessing - so you could just get it, and probably extend it (it may work, but I am guessing that if it is for SUV upgrades...SUV's don't have a 10' nose like we do...

I would just put a relay and fuse in the stock harness (supplied with the Hella's), get some 100 watt bulbs, and call it a day.

Bowtie,

Why does the wiring need to be so long ? It's not a long distance from the battery to the headlights...

I agree that the key is to use 12 gauge wiring all the way to the bulbs. Solder all connections, and 100w bulbs.

Urgh...You know, I suppose since there is no real current flow from the switch to the relay - there is no since in having heavy gauge where from the switch to the front of the car.

Nevermind that whole little part about that - I was having a blonde monent.
