I am redoing my seats in my 1996 A4. They are graphite leather with custom HARLEY badges stitched in. Leather is ~$700 - cloth is ~$400. Which one would hold up better and which one should I go with? These are some pics of the OEM seats I am recovering.

I have both in my car... LOL. Long story made short, Car was stolen when previous owner had it. Front fenders, front seats, and stereo was stolen. The only seats that the owner could find when the car was returned were cloth. So, I have grey cloth firebird front seats and grey leather back seats.
I changed my leather in my Z28 for Trans Am cloth which come with headrests.
I hated freezing my butt in the winter and cooking it in the summer. And in the winter, when the leather gets hard, you have the added bonus of sliding around a bit.
I still have my Z28 charcoal grey leather seats complete without any significant marks if you're interested. Way less than $700.00 bucks.

leather will last longer and look better IF you take care of it. I clean mine and oil them about once a year and they look good as new. Granted it is cold in the Winter and HOT in the Summer but mine is a hot rod not an everyday commuter car. I used to have cloth and they were stained and ripped up. It also helps that my car stays in a garage too I suppose but I would definitely go with leather.
