i wanna know what step's i gotta take to get the stock paint off and paint it flat black. and yes i am going to spray it with a can from the auto part store!

hand sand with 600 grit,be sure to get into the corners of "CAMARO"(inside the letters)use some good quality sandfill primer let it dry then sand with 320wipe panel down with prepsall then shoot it with the paint color you want.

Just go buy a grey not (not red) scotch brite pad and hand sand.You will be able to sand all the letters and corners alot easier. It doesnt look like you have any deep scratches or chips so a sandable primer would not be necessary unless you like sanding for fun.Then all you would need was a adhesion promoter or primer sealer.Since your rattle canning it you dont need clear just get non gloss black.You can clear for extra protection but you would need flat clear.

ok, i understand what i need to do. the reason i am doing this because i am gettin chrome/polish camaro letter's coming soon in the mail(hope it won't take long). i am gettin tired looking at my car being soo boring!! time for a change!

I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong area but figured this was as close as I could get ^_^

Was there an aftermarket panel that can replace the stock panel, I think I remember it having a texture to it? Been ages since I've had time to work on my LT1 and finally have the finances and time to work on it.
