uh one is polished aluminum....one is most likely tripple dipped chrome....pretty significant difference in price....

you'll see the major differences if you just go to eBay and type in "Z06 wheels" or "C5 wheels" There's a company that sells both and offers pictures...

Chrome will weigh more...but then it's prone to flaking off after a few years....aluminum is lighter but becomes dirty quicker....

chrome is the way to go. SO easy to clean, brake dust just wipes off. Polished is much cheaper tho, and if you keep an eye on the brake dust, a little windex and towel make them shine. check sig

Polished is real nice but then again Chrome is CHROME and if you take care of it will always look good. Just my .02.

I have both. Ive had the chrome on for about 3 yrs on my Imp and polished for about 2 1/2 months now. It all depends on what you are looking for. Chrome shines bettter and easy to clean with just soap and water. Polish you have to buff it at least 2 twice a month. So have a nice suppply of Never Dull stored away for polishing. I dont see chrome chipping at all if you dont hit it on a curb or something. I give the both thumbs up. Just care for them in the right way and youll be happy. Im powder coating the 5 spokes on my chrome and leaving the dish chrome because I didnt care for properly and I now have scratches plus it looks better with detail.

A properly polished wheel can look damn near chrome. However, to keep it looking like will create hours and hours of work for you each month.

Polished wheels are much more forgivng though. If you get a scratch in them, even if it is bad, you can sometimes sand it out and repolish (assuming they aren't a clear coated polished wheel). You can't do that with a chrome wheel

For me and because I drive my car 60 miles a day in the rain and all sorts of bad conditions, chrome is better and much easier to keep looking nice.

A good polished wheel looks TONS better than chrome in my opinion.

You can look at the link to my truck in my sig and see what a good polished wheel looks like

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...4/fae97aef.jpg

there is a direct link (you can also type .orig.jpg at the end of that file name to get a fullsize view of that photo.

Chrome just draws too much attention away from the vehicle in my opinion. Not to mention polished is easier to fix if light damage does happen to the wheel.

For GOOD polished wheels, look at billet specialties, budnik, intro, colorado custom, and those types of billet manufacters.

The other upside of polished billet is that it is extremely light. My centerline 20x8's are rated at only 23 lbs each unmounted They actually come out slightly lighter than my stock steelie 16s were
