The aftermarket needs to make a 6-speed auto for us then if there really are so many A4 cars.

The 6L80E is a direct bolt-in -- same size and bolt pattern as the 4L60E. You just have to get a computer that can control it. Such a computer can be found in a C6 Corvette.

It's probably a little more complicated than that in practice (for instance, you need to find a way to adapt your gear selector to the new trans), but it seems to me than taking an LS1 A4 Camaro and converting it into an A6 would be surprisingly simple.

Is that the same transmission in the Corvette? I've been told that one won't fit because it is behind the transaxle or something.

Yeah, the Corvette version wouldn't work, but there is a regular-style version of it too. It's on the Escalade and Denali.

Is it beefy enough to put up with the torque and HP of a Camaro? I don't know what sort of HP an Escalade puts out. About 250?

Are you looking for a particular detail? I'd be happy to go take more pictures of mine and post them.

Well, we've pretty much got a ton of stock clean looking interiors already posted (which is good ), now I'm more or less just asking for those interiors that may be a little different from whats already posted. Such as aftermarket gages, floor mats, seats, dash's, LED lighting ect.

Not looking for anything in particular, just would like to see the thread used to its full extent.

Hey Marcin - been good buddy - hope you have been as well.
E-mail me when you get a chance - daltonb at gmail dot com.

I sold the Camaro - so I am just in my truck now. The seats help up great though.

You might want to search for pics of meissenation's car, or PM him and ask him to post here. He's done quite a bit of interior cosmetic stuff.

There's another guy... I don't remember his screen name, but he replaced all of the components in his center stack with a big LCD screen, and installed a computer with a custom-designed program and servo controls so that he could use it for radio, HVAC, and a bunch of other stuff. It's pretty sweet. I've always wanted to do something like that, and then put LS1 Edit on the computer so that I could monitor/change stuff right from the center stack.
