Painting exhaust tips

My tips are getting rusty and I want to paint them so they look better and don't rust even more. Its a third gen so they are pretty much hidden under the body, and I don't want them to look ghetto with spray on chrome so I was thinking just going black. Is that going to look silly? Any ideas besides polishing my tips. I don't want to polish them becuase it was never polished before so its never going to get shiny. And I definately don't want to put new tips on it.

Re: Painting exhaust tips

you should be able to find the hi-temp paint at any auto parts shop. Flat black will look just fine.....in fact.....I chose to spray my whole Flowmaster 80 series muffler with that paint...the Slowmaster was discolored at the time, so the flat black look cleaned it up a lot.
