Paint costs?
Paint costs?
Anyone have an estimate of what a hugger orange with black racing stripes job would cost? I would be trailoring the car in without a motor for the purposes of painting the engine bay.

Including a color change? From a bodyshop standpoint with a color change and assuming NO body work, just prep and shoot... $2K... add in any bodywork you want fixed and the cost of the stripes anywheres from $2500-the sky is the limit.
Seeing you're already doing some of the prep work, and are mechanically inclined, I would remove EVERYTHING you can to same some $$, R&I costs a LOT and typically takes a while. Remove the entire interior, mouldings, etc. This can and will save you $$.
The expensive part with a color change is they need to disassemble everything to "edge" everything, this is the sign of a body shop that KNOWS what they are doing and does things the right way. It's also what adds labor to the job.
Note: My GF of 4 years is a manager at a collision shop, and my brother is a master body tech with 20+ years of experience.
