Okay, so i thought i would be able to get away with 320 dry sanding the car and then painting it. All of the sanding marks had shown through on the stuff i painted and i didn't want that at all. I sanded and re-primed the spoiler then went out to 600 wet sand on the primer. that took about 5 hours. So... 5 hours to get it ready for paint and 20 minutes to screw it all up. this is what happens when you don't let the paint dry enough between coats as well as lay it on thick. It started with what looked like small cracks and kept growing over time. I wanted to cry. it looked perfect So now i have the fun task of masking off that area, sanding and feathering it back down to primer, re-priming, and painting again. sorry the picture detail isn't the best. my camera phone blows.

Damn, that's a real shame. Your car has a bad rash right now!

Paint some brown lines on the bottom of those & then run some green over the "rash" & tell people it is a custom painted forest!!

I think the rims look good with out the caps IMO and with some nice chrome or blk lug nuts would look cool. I wonder if the oem Salad shooter caps 98-02 would fit???

keep the pix coming on the paint job

Well, whatever you do, keep the rims and don't replace them. You're more likely to find a $100 bill than another set of wheels like that. I think it'd be cool to see them chromed!

^^ yeah. he found some semi-translucent powder and a chrome base, so we'll see about that. paint's coming along nicely. i literally just finished laying paint on the front bumper. gotta clear it yet. the tail light panel just needs the clear coat wet sanded and it'll be perfect. i'll post pics when i get home.
