oh, and i'm not sure what kind of wheels they are. i was actually thinking about painting them black and pinstriping the spokes. I live in the Lima area. it's pretty much the butthole of ohio. north of dayton south of toledo.

I like the wheels. Leave them silver. Do they work with a center cap?

Those wheels look really similar to these OZ wheels, which were super high dollar wheels back in the day. Super high dollar by my standards at least. I think about $500 each. Are they the same?

If they are OZ wheels, don't touch em with paint!

yes, those are definitely my wheels. they have weird chips and nicks in them already. any way i could fix them and make them look brand new, and also, where in the hell can i get the center caps. didn't come when i bought the car. that's awesome as hell though. i didn't have a clue.

Don't feel to bad about how you damaged your car. Many years ago I was pulling my car from behind the house and cut the corner a little to close. I hit the house and crushed in the passenger door of my '73 Camaro. It wasn't like it was the first time I parked there. That was my normal spot. Gave me a chance to learn body work.
I agree with you about Lima. I have a daughter that is going to school there.
Your repairs are looking good!

I'm not sure. I would recommend having a professional wheel repair company do them. I talked to one once, they charge about $200 a wheel, which is pricey. I'm sure if there are just chips, you could maybe fill them in with something yourself and sand them like you would bodywork, but I don't know anything about that.

Finding the center caps will be hard and/or expensive. What also doesn't help, is I don't know the name of those wheels. They are NOT OZ Monte Carlo wheels, that much I do know. They are some other OZ wheels that came out after the Monte Carlo wheels. Probably wheels that came out in like 1999. Some more large pics:

You could probably have them remade if you were really interested. I'd probably just look on ebay every week.

Maybe you need some inspiration . I found this the other day. One of the 65 convertibles made in this color is up for sale. High mileage with an aftermarket front bumper without the nose emblem indentation, but cool and unusual to see.

So you were backing your car out at what, 50 mph? You crushed the door in?

Re: Ooops, if only insurance would cover stupidity.

i think he was turning around one of the corners of his house and wasn't paying attention to where his house was. i did that in my old dodge minivan, but i hit the side of a BW3''s Anyways... i'm not too sure i like the look of that convertible. i prefer the black trim like the handles and mirrors. looks much better to me, but i am painting my nose emblem to match the car, and i am quite anxious to see how that turns out

Did you happen to figure out the name of those OZ wheels? I just asked on a different message board to see if I could find anybody who knows.

Re: Ooops, if only insurance would cover stupidity.

to the OP & the title of this thread, you missed something, Car insurance does cover stupidity, that's what it is for and why I have as little as I can get and rather have none.
