cobrakiller they look good just wondering how dark to go on a black car. i also like the idea of vinel tont with back up lite cut out. nice job.now i have to do mine
Re: One coat of vht night shade on tail lights
hmmmmm... Definitely wouldnt take that many coats.. i think 3 would be perfect for a black car. Yeah i loved the way how the backup light looks clean. im thinking of paintin my berger panel black too. im planning on paintin the car black so im super stoked about it!

Deinitely agree. i sprayed my first coat at night and thought it looked awsome. But the next morning i noticed they didnt look dark at all. So i trew on another coat and was satisfied. Could go one more coat but why get the pita chp involved? lol
Re: One coat of vht night shade on tail lights
well, it wont black out when you go over it once. but i consider one coat to be spray, let it dry, then you can have at it again. the first 5-6 time i go over it, you cant tell ive done anything. then it starts slowly getting darker. right now mine could pass for stock if you dint know these cars, and i think i went over it 25-30 times. never let it dry in between though, so id call it one coat. i also do it from a few feet up, so its even. doing it close up will darken it much faster.
Re: One coat of vht night shade on tail lights
Got my nite shade today. I have a spare headlight for the ZX2 that is just sitting in my garage, I'm thinking about practicing on that before I do anything on the Z28, but I'm gonna do the 3rd brake light and rear sidemarkers before I do the tails on the Z to see how they turn out. I wanna do my front turn signals too, I'm so tired of the ambers. I can't wait until I have it all done, I think it's really gonna unify the car nicely with the black top, side mirrors, etc.
