A new idea, maybe?

so I had these made for my car over four years ago, and thought maybe some of you might be interested and could just have some made for yourself.

I know someone made some overlays that went over the black plastic, but before that option was there, I had these made up. The little black plastic pieces are just held on with double sided 3M foam tape, and that is all I used on these. All they are is just some thin Aluminum pieces cut, the bottom rolled a tad to match the plastic ones, then I used a scuff pad for the brushed look, then hit them with a can of clear! I am sure someone could make up some polished versions, or someone knows a someone with a CNC machine to put some designs on it or something. I am going to redo mine, use some thicker Aluminum, but these have held up great for the $30 I have in them! Let me know what you think.

Yeah, I don't think they flow with the car too well either. They may work better on a black car though.

I second that. Polished on a black car with some nice polished wheels.

I do agree with the polished on a black car, you can hardly notice them on mine. I also took off the door handles and locks and removed the black from them, and gave them the same treatment with the scuff pad and clear. That is why I stated that someone could do something different! geez, tough crowd.....
