Re: New Hood Installed!!

I am on like 7 weeks and they haven't even shipped it out, don't buy from them, trust me, not worth it, I ordered mine like the end of march, and I still haven't gotten it and they said its gonna take a week longer and then it'll be shipped out, IMO go with somewhere else that doesn't take your money and put you on the back burner and not make make your stuff, screw vfn.

Re: New Hood Installed!!

Yeah guys, im starting to agree with Jimbo. They read my review and basically b****** me out over an email for being honest. They NEVER told me it was going to take them an hour and a half to install the hood they told me 30 minutes. They said they did me a favor by installing, but they offer that service. The only thing they helped me out with is letting me leave my stock hood at there shop so i can pick it up another day (Big deal) and they made a big deal out of it. It is a nice hood, but in my opinion go somewhere else. THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!!!

Re: New Hood Installed!!

The hood will fit good. But, overall i cant stand there building because it is so $hitty and dont even get me started on the people there. With the wait of how long you have to wait for the hood, the price is way to much. But overall its a nice hood.

Re: New Hood Installed!!

I left a feedback review on ls1tech about vfn, not even bashing them that bad, just saying they are running late etc. and got bitched out by board members. I am starting to dislike tech, nothing but stuck up ls1 owners bashing lt1s and bunch of **** basically.

Heres my post on tech http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=509805

If I'd known it would be this long I would've gotten an SS hood from somewhere like hawks or something. Too late now. I'm sure the quality of the hood will be excellent, but their service blows IMO.

I cant believe the difference from this site lol, I rant and rag on the company real bad and you guys agree, and on ls1tech, I complain about vfn in a nice way, and I get bitched out like I should be grateful my hoods gonna be late.

Deleteing tech from my favorites now.

Re: New Hood Installed!!

Really until now I have heard nothing but good things about VFN. In the thread on LS1tech, that guy was just trying to show off his Ewang. He had a point but was an *** about it.

Custom parts run the risk of being delayed. If I am not mistaken VFN builds them when you order them. Supply shortage, increase of orders at a given time, equipment problems could all lead to your delay. As long as the piece is what they claim and is good quality the wait is part of it.

Hey if you want to hear about a customer service issue how about I tell ya mine. My camaro has been torn apart since November for a rebuild. After calls and false progress reports I stop by the machine shop and the head bolts have yet to be turned and everything is EXACTLY where/as I left it. This was in March. Point of the story= it happens.

The hood looks excelent and be sure to post some pics when it's painted. Sorry to hear about **** poor customer service at the shop though. Now that should NEVER happen. Especially when you paid 600 big ones for a hood.

Re: New Hood Installed!!

Poor customer service sucks but sometimes you have to deal with that for a good product. I like VFN products because they all seem to fit really well and high quality. I know of a couple manufacturers of fiberglass hoods that are even worse. It really is a shame that its that way..

To the guy getting the Sunoco hood....fantastic choice, by far the best looking hood IMO. I almost bought a camaro over the T/A because i wanted a Sunoco hood that bad.
