New Hood Installed!!

Well after the long wait of 6 weeks for my hood to be made, it is finally on. Although the stripes are not on and it is not painted yet, it still kind of matches because it is black and my car is black. But, it is in the paint shop next week. Let me know what you think, it is the VFN Fiberglass 3" SS Hood. The fit was great, seems like it fits better then my stock hood. The customer service at VFN is not the greatest, and it took 1 hour longer then they said it would to put it on my car. And they said it was ready and when i got there they had to trim some stuff, and make it functional. But overall, for the time and the 640$ it is a great hood and i reccommend it to anyone. Here is a picture, there is more to come soon!

I didn't know they made a Sunoco style hood for the 93-97 f-bodies.

Re: New Hood Installed!!

the 3" SS is around 20 or so pounds. So its pretty light. With it being functional and a lot of air getting into my engine compartment, i felt alittle better throttle response. Not to mention the great whine it makes when the wind goes through my engine compartment then against my windshield, haha.

Re: New Hood Installed!!

Does it always take 6 wks for them to have a hood ready? If so, that sucks. I was getting close to ordering a cowl hood from them.
