New here (kinda) also have a new car

Well, I got rid of my first car, a third gen RS Camaro about 7 months ago and after having deal after deal fall through, I finally found a 6 speed lt1 Trans am in Florida. To let you know how hard I was really trying to get one of these cars, I live in Maine (the drive back was NOT fun in thanksgiving traffic type situations.) The car itself has 117,000 miles but runs amazing. It's a huge step up from my old L03. It set me back 3500 bucks, not including the 200 in gas back. But I figured you guys might like some pics, so here ya go.

I'm not a big fan of flashy wheels or big stereo's. But it does look really good for what you payed for it.

Why did you have to go so far to find a black T/A? I'd understand the far drive for something less common, but surely you could have found one in New York or even closer...?

I'm very confused by this unless you were vacationing in Florida.

lol, thanks for the heads up.

I went to Florida for the sole fact that i could not find a 6 speed fbody up here in my price range. I did a few times, around Illinois and Pennsylvania, but like I said, I had plenty of deals fall through. So when i found this one, I didn't feel like letting another one slip away. All and all I'm pretty happy with the results and I've gotta say with the few mods this thing has, its got some serious kick compared to my old camaro. Thanks for the comments.

Motor seems good, no leaks or noises, no smoke on startup or when its running and pulls hard through the rpm's. The throttle does stick open slightly though...any idea how to remedy this? I've found giving the throttle a quick rev will bring it back down to normal, but i dont wanna be doing that every time i come to a stop sign or red light, it attracts unwanted attention.

Nice lookin ride, man! I love the wheels. Im into stereo's and your set up is sweet too! I know what you mean about making long drives. I'm looking at a 94 z28 in Florida. Its about 1255 miles from me. But at 1500.00 for a 6speed ttop LT1 with only a lil over 100k is worth the drive. Anyway welcome to the board.

Sounds like a really nice deal good luck on the trip. I wasn't a big fan of the wheels when i first saw them in the pics, but in person, they look real amazing to me. As for the system, i never even cared about them til i got one, and now that ive heard it, im never letting go of it lol. It just makes everything so much better.
