Neon wire???
Neon wire???
Does anyone know where i can get the neon wire for cars. I been looking but i can't seem to find much and the ones i do find are expensive as h**l. any help is appreciated thanx.
It's kinda hard to explain but ya know the carpeting inside the door. Well i'm taking that out putting and white vinal back there. ontop of the vinal i'm putting plexiglass and around the edges of the glass i wann put the wire then cover the rest of the wire with something black probably electrical tape. This way the light will filter thru the glass and light it up blue. Does it sound like it would work?
sounds like it would like sweet if it does work. id say go with the good expensive stuff cause u never know what kind of quality ur gonna get with an off brand and all the work ur doin for this u dont want it to turn out crappy. the expensive stuff would be brighter and light up the glass more i would think good luck.
I would also agree with going with the good expensive stuff. It will look nicer, last longer, and be brighter. But im not a fan of neon lights on the camaros cause they make them look too much like a rice burner, but hey have fun.
if you could find a way to get the plexiglass in the door, it'll work. also, what were you going to screw the neons to? you could use just 18 guage wire...it won't look as good. but it only costs like $4 for 30ft of it...just go out and buy some black 18 guage wire, use black for both positive and negative, then at the end of the wire, where you can't see it through the plexiglass, label which is positive and which is negative....this won't cost much and might look good, but if it doesn't, it'll only cost you $4 or $5.

You're looking for something called Hott Wirez. That brand is made by Street Glow, and it will be expensive, no matter where you go. There's a cheaper company called Lite Glow, but their stuff is more prone to break down than Street Glow's.
