I know they have stripes, but I don't know if they have the SS hood stripes. Also look into the thickness of them as well. I ordered mine from yearone. They are of very good quality. I'm sure there are cheap ones out there.

I agree 3rdgendecals.com. I had some stripes made for my car. The quality and service are great.

check out brent franker's install page

very helpful if you plan on doing them yourself. i think the place he got his stripes, http://www.thesignconnection.com/, changed their name. i can't get to their website. you might want to email brent and ask him.

i bought some regular Z28 stripes from rksport and thought about installing them myself, but i would recommend hiring someone else if you have doubts. any auto tint place can do them for around $100. i just wanted mine to be perfect, and i'm not as good as Brent with that kind of stuff. in my opinion, it's worth a little extra money to get them on straight and not mess them up in the process.

i'm told they're supposed to last 4-5 years.

Cool

I can make you some WAY cheaper than $300 (probably like $140 or so) and are exact duplicates of the 97 SS stripes but not in orange... unless you want them in orange Email me for details bfranker@tampabay.rr.com

Also, since this is more of an Appearance related topic, I'll move this to the Appearance Section.

Hey Brent,
Is there any material available that is totally transparent, but with a hint of translucent pearl or color tint added to it that you could make "ghost=looking" decals out of?

Something that would allow the color of the car to show through?... yet change a bit... well, like "ghost flames"? Kinda like sticking that tinted renyolds wrap over your car, I guess is what I'm trying to say.... but not that bold. Something subtle.

Anything out there like that?

Just a crazy idea.

Well, there is a translucent type vinyl available. Not sure how well it would work though. It is made to allow light to shine through (like on signs) but I'm not sure how much of the color of the car would show through without a light source behind it? Would have to just try it I guess.
