Need to pick a hood

I'm torn between a harwood 2.5" cowl hood, the vfn sunoco hood and an SS hood.

Has anyone seen a 93-97 with the vfn sunoco WIDE style hood? I know that the cowl is wider and that's what I like about the harwood, i think the normal sunoco hood is too slender for my tastes.

i would be set on the wide style sunoco if I could find a picture to prove it's actually wide... 28" wide supposedley is the cowl, i guess i'll have to wait till i get home to see how wide that is.

I just put the Harwood on my car. Nothing has been painted yet but I like the looks of it so far.

There is the taller aftermarket SS hood also. I decided not to go that route when I had to replace my hood because it is open in the back.

I just want a picture of a 93-97 with the WIDE style sunoco cowl hood. No one seems to have a picture of it. It all depends on that.

I've been trying to make the same choice myself. I think I'm set on the standard width Sunoco hood, but I'd really like to see some pictures of the wide one...

well i made up my mind on the VFN Sunoco Wide style. I'm picking it up in addison, IL next weekend as far as I know. yes!

SS = everyone has one, but looks good.
Harwood = looks really "heavy", cowl extends too far to really look normal,IMO.

I have a 96 SS hood, but don't know what to do with it really. I'm happy with my z28 and all but to me putting an ss hood on a z28 would be kind of lame. I like the vfn hood with the scoops of the side of cowl, similar to a stock 93-97 camaro hood, though. looks alright. That 5in cowl is downright nasty looking.

dunno about these either found on ebay:

Spyder hood:

It's too bad they don't make the mecham hood for the 93-97's the heat extractors are cool. Ultimately I'll probably end up getting the SLP ultra Z however, and custom fab the volant cai to work on my car
