Need an FF75 writeup...Bersaglieri? Marcin?
Need an FF75 writeup...Bersaglieri? Marcin?
FF75's should be here tomorrow or so, and I have no clue how to install them. If you guys could give me a basic writeup on the install (reversible install) I'd really appreciate it. I can't keep riding around with no headlight, so I wanna install these things as soon as I get them.
Any info is greatly appreciated....

remove ould headlights, figure out where to drill for new headlights, bolt in. Cut pigtails off stock harness. Splice the positive and negative wires off the lights into the harness. Aim headlights.. your done. Save the old parts, and pig tail ends incase you want to put those other lights back in. I dont know why you would tho.

Bump....they're here, and I want to install them. Why must no one answer any of my questions in any threads I make? All I'm asking for is detailed info.

Just take out the old lights and i think most of the mounting hardware. Then put the lights how u like them, drill holes on the top and you are set.
As far as hooking them up, use the wiring they give you. Its been too long for me to remember what exactly goes where. Do a search on FF75. I think someone did a very detailed page on how to install them correctly. Sorry i cant be more help

It is a pretty straight forward install, after you get the old ones out, position the lights how you like, drill the holes, and put them in. Wire them like i just said, and be done with it
Re: Need an FF75 writeup...Bersaglieri? Marcin?
All finished. Didn't need to use the dremel at all
All I did was,
-Disconnect battery
-Remove stock lights and brackets
-Loosen the adjustment things on the sides so that the plastic piece slid inward, and they were out of the way completely.
-Cut stock connectors off
-Line up the new lights and drill holes for them in the plastic piece going across the front of the car
-Splice the connections together
-Tighten them in place with longer bolts and use six washers to space the lights downward to clear the plastic piece inside the mounting area
-Reconnect battery
-Adjust lights afterwards
I had Hella higher wattage bulbs in the stock housings, epoxied in with "1200 degree" rated epoxy. Well, when I took the stock lights out, 3 of the bulbs basically fell out of the housings, and only 1 stayed in. It's no wonder why the driver side bulb went out
Thanks for the help guys, this mod is the ****!

I did my ff75 install a bit ago...
At first I did the wiring they gave, but after a bit, the whole relay went bad, so then just used the stock wiring, spliced it in.
So what bulbs is everyone using? for now have the stock bulbs in there that came with lights.
