Link doesn't show any pictures.

Idk about the LT1 models but in the LS1 years the vent housings just pull out and then you can pop out the vents.

Re: need a bit of help

Pictures were there for me????

On the Firebirds, the "eyeball" is held in the vent by two small spring clips molded into the plastic ring. The ball pushes into the vent hole, and the clips expand against the housing so the ball can't be pulled out. You need to find the spring clips and if you get lucky, you can get a pick through the slats, and catch the spring clips and pull them toward the center of the eyeball.

I thought Shoebox had some pictures of a disassembled vent, to show where to look for the clips. When I pulled the vents out of mine to install gauges, I believe the clips were behind the vertical post at the top and bottom, making it all that much harder to reach them with a pick.
