should I buy a cheep ws6 hood?
should I buy a cheep ws6 hood?
I can get an aftermarket ws6 hood thats never been on a car for $185, how much work do these things normaly take to get them to fit well? is it worth it for $185 plus paint to add to my bird?
link in sig for pics of the car it would go on.

Re: should I buy a cheep ws6 hood?
If you are talking about an LS1 car:
NO! Not if you know the difference. I have seen NO aftermarket hood that truly matches an Original WS6 Hood (height of hood on sides, center and nostrils is different and they usually don't have the line outlining the nostrils)
If you are talking about and LT1 car:
Go for it. They are pretty similar.

I see now you said it's the LT1 in the sig.
Of course you always get different levels of quality from different companies but at least the aftermarket hoods for that car DO look like the OEM ones.

You dont happen to know the brand do you? I bought a Glasstek for my 98 TA and it lines up very well and looks good. For that cheap though you could make it work
