Navy Blue Metallic Paint Codes?

I called the local dealer to get the paint code for my car.

For the NBM Camaro (2002) there are two and even with the last 8 digits of my VIN it didn't help narrow it down.

Isn't there a place on the car that I can actually find the paint code?

The two that were given were WA352E and 28U.

28 (Navy Blue Metallic) should get you the correct touchup paint from the Chevy parts section of a dealership. I know that much.

A new hood and drivers side fender are going to be shot along with the nose and blending into the doors.

Not exactly just a touch up

You should find it in the glovebox. It will say either 28U WA352E or WA353E, one of these has a pearl in them, the other does not. Sorry, I can't remember which is which. A good paint shop should be able to find out which variance is right for your car. I chose the one without pearl when I did a complete paint job on my v6. Tracking down what variance your car came with from the factory may be difficult if the shop is dumb or have an ineffective system. But for what it's worth, the colors didn't seem all that different in the paint chips.

Alrighties, I'll take a peek in the glovebox to see what I can find.

Is it in a certain area of the glovebox? Is it a sticker that might've come off and such?

It will not have come off on its own. It should be right underneath where your stuff would sit in the glovebox, the floor of the glovebox, if you will....should be a clearly visible large sticker with a bunch of numbers/letters on it, the paint codes are at the bottom and start with WA _ _ _. If your glovebox is empty or close to it, it's right in front of your face as soon as you open it.

I'm being overly specific because being that it is a newer GM vehicle, it may also be in the doorjamb and I don't you to be taking apart your glovebox because I told you that's where it is :P .

No info sticker in the globe box.

I'll inspect the door jam stickers to see what I can find there.

This is just in case you didn't find it in the doorjamb, which is extremely annoying if you don't - Other common paint code areas in the rear trunk/hatch area, or under the hood, usually on either of the strut towers. It's irritating when one manufacturer doesn't put their codes in the same places, or changes from year to year. At work I have a cheat sheet that shows me the locations of paint codes for each manufacturer...some have up to 5 possible locations .

Hope you find it.

I really think the RPO codes are in the glove box...

I know they are in my '95, and think they are in my '02.
