Metal Widebody, now with 18 by Thirteen-y goodness

No, but it's been cold in the shop, and funds are down. Progress will resume in march, and I'll start raiding the parts yard and craigslist.
I was just over at the shop checking on it, and making a list of what I'll need.
Mostly hood pieces, and some interior parts, but the real money comes in over the summer when I get the motor/trans ordered. Also front rims and tires.
I have one of the nose/fascias on order from 6litereaters initial test run. He's having some issues, but he is keeping us posted.

So let me get this straight you're gonna have the Harrell lt1 front and wide body rear quarters with the perfect wheels to match and a custom hood that should flow with the entire design? Send me a pm on what parts you need I'll see what's layin around. Can't speak for anybody else but I'm excited to see this build

Yep- Catfish mouth, LT1 headlights, Fiberglass front fenders, Steel rear quarters, modified hood with stretched and slanted vents, and a GM perf bare block milled out to a 400 with a 350 crank. (Almost an LS3, but not quite...) LS3 heads, LS engine management, T56.
PM coming..

There' been some- I got my nose piece from 6literEater, the rears are done except for the inner fender wells, the hood is a tedious work in progress, but the shop had to get a new roof this summer, so life took precedence over parts.
I have some recent pics which I'll post later.

I took some pics when I had it out in the daylight last week as the shop got a new roof. It was letting in more water than it kept out.
Getting ready to roll it out.
Big 'ol tires. Me likey.

A tig welder is what you want to use on sheet metal fabrication. I have been in sheet metal fabrication for almost 16 years the one thing I know is my way around a sheet metal shop.
bending ,punching , welding, blue print reading .
that's some nice looking work on the hood !!! and rear quarter panels !! makes me wish that I put
my money in my convertible camaro instead of buying another camaro. keep up the work looking good !! I would love to see this car when you get finished

Thanks! I love TIG welding, but shop is only wired for 110, and most 110 TIG's aren't worth a damn. I've gotten pretty good at stitch welding with a MIG, and using softer wire and keeping the temps down keeps the welds pliable. Most of my welds hold up to a bend test, no problem.
The hood? Urgh. It has to be dead-solid perfect. Even an 1/8th of an inch variation shows up to the naked eye because of the center line on the T-Tops. When you fab pieces without a pullmax or a brake, there's going to be some differences, and once your start tacking it in place, things really start to move, due to heat cycles- and there's where you see every little flaw.
