I can't use the factory hydraulic lifts for my hood anymore because it takes way too much pressure to close. Suggestions? I don't want it to screw up my hood over time (cracking/bending) i took the lifts out and i use a short broom stick to keep it up when i'm working

 

Perhaps you can go to the JY and find some hood struts from an older model. Chances are they won't be nearly as strong and may work well with your hood.

 

I wonder if they sell lower pressure struts for f-body owners with fiberglass hoods, i can't seem to find any.

Why not just buy SLP stock SS ones? SS hoods are fiberglass

Most Auto parts stores should have a strut book to look at.... All you have to do is find out what the stock lbs rate and size of strut, and go with a lower setting.... They might have to be ordered... Good luck..
