LT1 HID H4 & H3 6000k daytime pics :)
Okay guys/gals, here are a couple of daytime pics of the HID H4 6000k low beam and H3 6000k foglights. I will try to take some pics of the lights at night once I have them adjusted. I used the optilux (hella) foglights with the blue angel eye, modified the stock foglight bracket and had it black gloss powdercoated. Everything looks as if it were OEM. Sorry, I still don't have the nose back on the car. The HID project has taken me awhile to engineer it to look and work like factory.

The HID lighting is insanely bright. Its like I was driving with no lights on with the factory lighting :lolsign:

I hate bright headlights, I always turn on my high beams and blind people who have them on purpose... but at least you installed them well. They look really good.

And you know what? If you were to ever bright light ME for having better quality headlights than what GM put on 15 years ago... I'd bright light you back, cause mine are brighter

In many instances HID's into halogen housings get a bad rap for glare, but in some instances, the housings provide a decent beam pattern for safe use. Many also forget that HID's simply are a more intense source of light and if your eye is drawn to it....well then you are going to be more affected by it. These are the reasons why I asked him to get some shots of the beam pattern at night.
Here are some shots of my setup and if his appear to be better due to the housings he purchased then I will make a switch for obvious reasons.

I still have some fine tuning to do as this was just a quick alignment done in the garage after I was done.

After driving the car last night I could definitely tell the main lights (low beam) need to be adjusted alot. Its funny how the old lights always looked like they were correctly adjusted, you could not really tell because the output was so dim. Now that I have a solid light output you can see the beam pattern is actually tilted out on both sides, obviously this is blinding the oncoming traffic. I will need to adjust the lighting asap. Does anyone have a particular method for aligning a HID setup. The method I have found on-line is basically using a flat white wall of a business with a level area. It seems you setup a pair of cross-hairs on the wall and take some basic calculations to set the low beam lighting. I'm not sure how far away the recommended distance is to correctly set the lights ? The guide suggested 25 feet from the wall (that seem to far away ?). The foglights will also need to be adjusted down, they are 4 or 5 degrees to high. Beam pattern on the foglights appear to be correct from left to right, just need to lower them a little.
I will definitely address all the adjustments on the lighting.

Oh, I have a tip for adjusting the headlights. You should have a person sitting in the drivers seat of the car when adjusting them if you want them fine tuned. That way your adjustments will be correct.

Yes, I believe you're right.
